OK ladies, Do you have any advice for a Valentines fool?

My wife and I are celebrating our second Valentines day together. Last year I went all out. White roses, 200 candels, wine, and a fancy dinner waiting for her when she came home.

This year is a little different. We recently (4-weeks) had a baby. My wife is now a stay at home mom, so surprising her is a little harder. Romance in general is a lot harder. Keep in mind, I am not a rich man and send me any suggestions that you might have.

Thanks so much.OK ladies, Do you have any advice for a Valentines fool?
Since your baby is so young, your wife may be reluctant to leave the baby for an evening out.

Do your parents or hers live nearby? Would they be willing to look after their grandchild for a few hours? Assuming that is possible depending on whether your baby is breat-fed or not.

I would definitely suggest planning something low-key, possibly just a quiet evening at home without having the baby to worry over. How much sleep have you and your wife been getting? She may just want to have a nice meal served to her, slip into the tub for a relaxing guilt-free bath, and then head to bed for a good night's rest! Sometimes that may be the best and most romantic gift you give - something that shows you are sensitive to her needs.OK ladies, Do you have any advice for a Valentines fool?
If I were in that situation, I'd like a gift card to the mall and the car already gassed up and ready to go, with my hubby at home to watch the baby. Maybe a gift card to a spa or something similar instead of the mall, depending on her taste. Just being able to get out of the house without lugging the diaper bag for a few hours might be nice for her. Regardless of anything else you do, a few flowers are always a good idea, especially if you can send them when either the neighbors or her friends will see them. Half the fun of getting the flowers is dishing with your friends about them.
How about a night off. Tell her to go relax while you cook and take care of the little one. Make her a nice dinner and get her some flowers and maybe get her a little gift basket with bubble bath and candles so she can take a nice long hot bath while you cook. It may not be super romantic but that's hard with a newborn. But she will know how much you care and appreciate her.
