Poll -- What was the last advice you gave to a friend?

';Stop Facebooking, you moron!';Poll -- What was the last advice you gave to a friend?
A friend and I shared a bottle of wine at the weekend. She was talking about her boyfriend of nearly a year. He's charming, charismatic, professional, kind. I asked 'Do you love him?' and without skipping a beat she said 'NO!'. and then looked completely surprised. The 'perfect man' but she doesn't love him. I advised her to let him down gently and move on.Poll -- What was the last advice you gave to a friend?
i took my bestfriend girlfriend to the bar. and i scolded her for not having the dishes washed (in a nice way). She washed the dishes the next morning. I love them both to death. id wanted her to give me the same advice. She had a lot of time at home!
Don't let those people get to you, just move on %26amp; forget them. ily!

Cheat. It was a long distance relationship that wasnt going to work so I told a friend of mine she should cheat. So far its working out pretty good for her.

If he can't appreciate you for the way you are, he's not good enough for you. What's the best dating advice you ever got?
This is the best I can give: don't risk your heart on someone unless there's a big connection- fireworks, goosebumps, etc. You can get hurt in any relationship, even the ones without big sparks. The risk is only worth it on the ones that really have you feeling a strong connection. What's the best dating advice you ever got?

If you could give me any advice, what would it be?

I was just wondering if there was any of you could share your wisdom with me. It could be about life in general, hard things you've gone through and learned from, etc. Nothing perverted or inappropriate, though, I really don't feel like reporting a bunch of answers, so please keep it clean.

Thank you!If you could give me any advice, what would it be?
what glitters isn't always gold, don't put all your eggs in one basket, beware of a wolf in sheep's cloths, keeps your friends close and your enemy's even closer and last but not least life's to short to have regrets so live ya lifeIf you could give me any advice, what would it be?
whatever ppl did bad and nasty things to you, never take a revenge.. and if they ask your help never hesitate in helping them. always keep in helping others and you will definitely feel happy in drawing smiles in their faces.
Basically if you dont go to college and get a good qualification, be prepared to have a lot of rubbish jobs where you are treated like dirt and earn very little, until you return to school to upskill in a career.
All I want you to know is if you have the opportunity to do something you really want. Or if it's a dream you have do it. You oonly live once. So do what is your dream.
DONT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING BUT REAL LOVE IN LIFE
Be true to yourself.

  • What's the best over-all advice given to you to share with us when it comes to making life easier? my favorite?

in my 59 yrs. is to ';wear the world like a loose overcoat';..do you have one to share in these hard times? What's the best over-all advice given to you to share with us when it comes to making life easier? my favorite?
Don't sweat the small stuff, and it is all small stuff.

Can you give me any life advice?

I want some life advice. Pertaining to anything, i don't care...can be bollocks if you want..

Advice on anything. at all.Can you give me any life advice?
    Here are some:

%26gt;%26gt;Every person has some bad habits, weaknesses or weirdness. You

won't know until you spend much time with them. However, despair not, some of these make them rather unique or interesting. Learning to tolerate them makes us stronger individuals. So just smile, laugh, etc and accept that this is Life.

%26gt;%26gt;Be actively involved in a couple of meaningful hobbies that can be shared with a few friends, relatives, colleagues. One great way to spend time in a healthy way, reduce stress or depression.

%26gt;%26gt;Work hard during the weekdays in whatever pursuits, job, etc you are in, and let your hair down during the week-end. Another way to

be happy or to avoid insanity.

%26gt;%26gt;Acquire some of these qualities/characteristics--focus, passion, sincerity, responsibility, willingness to share, initiative, humility, friendliness and diligence. They are powerful traits that bring positive results to any relationship, career, etc.

%26gt;%26gt;Do daily reading to acquire an awareness and general knowledge of current affairs, health, safety, some sports or entertainment, etc. They make great topics for opening up conversations with strangers, acquaintances and friends.

%26gt;%26gt;If you drive, the safe and generally ideal speed of a car is 90-115kph. A head-on collision with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction or with a tree or building, at speeds beyond 130kph results in certain death or serious disabilities. Even with safety belts or air-bags available, there is a minimum chance of survival. Bodies have been crushed or thrown out through the windshields. Statistics and experiments have proven this.

%26gt;%26gt;Never court or marry a beauty queen, unless she has proven to have positive inner qualities. Or you are wealthy enough to support/satisfy her in emotional, moral or material ways.

%26gt;%26gt;Life will always throw us many moments of loneliness and boredom. It is up to us, our ideas and positive attitude, to make it meaningful and interesting. A sin or two won't harm the intellect or emotions, neither would one be sent to Hell. I really don't know where the hell this place is, nor believe that any god would be so mean to have created it! ;-(

Hope some of the tips would help in changing your life in a most enjoyable, safe and fulfilling way. Best of luck! :-)))Can you give me any life advice?
Don't allow yourself to become bitter enough to not appreciate people or to push the right people out of your life. And MAKE a family if you can't accept or don't bond with your own! Being alone in the end will not make your life worth it... There is nothing worse then feeling empty and alone because you couldn't think of a person you'd be able to talk to about the smallest thing.

Make sure you have a soft place to land.....
The most important thing is what you think of yourself!. Don't be afraid to do something just jump in and do it!,

I love in the movie ratatouille when Anton Ego goes to rate the restaurant and he tells the waiter, he orders a perspective!, and the waiter doesn't understand, and he tells him Ok, since no one in this Bloody town or country has one, You give me the food and I'LL give YOU the perspective..meaning that the most important thing to have is a reason a way your way to want to do something, because many people have money fame etc.. but don't have or own a purpose!!!.
many people have forgotten what REAL relationships with friends should be.

lots of people show a different part of themselves to their friends than who they really are, only being fun and happy around them, not wanting to trouble them, or grant them special information about who you are deep down.

i know you probably can't ever show /all/ of who you are inside to some one, but friends should be people who understand you, and still want to have a good time with you.

if they are good friends, they deserve to know who you are.

    sure

when you find yourself in a hole that either you fell into or that you dug yourself just know that if you get off your butt and think about it you will find a way to get out. if you dug the hole yourself you must have a shovel in your hands and if you fell into it, look for the shovel that you have inside yourself and dig, dig, dig your way out. persistence and hard work will get you past most barriers and out of many holes.

My Wife and i are in the process of buying our first home what advice can you give us.on owning a first home.

it`s going to be our first home and want it to be very special we already approve for a loan our next step is finding that dream house. but we need all the help we can so that we woun`t get scam from crucked sellers who prey on other people we.aness. thanks the maximay`sMy Wife and i are in the process of buying our first home what advice can you give us.on owning a first home.
Square one hire a good home inspector try ASHI (the American Society of Home Inspectors) web site they can set you on the right path and help you to avoid buying a money pit. The best question to ask your Realtor is ';Who would you use to inspect a home for you or your family'; when he/she answers the question check them out on line or with your state department of consumer protection to be sure they are licensed (licensing is not required in some states)My Wife and i are in the process of buying our first home what advice can you give us.on owning a first home.
My best advise is this. Go to your local realtor agency, talk to the realtor and find the one that you and your wife feel comfortable with. Do be afraid to go to a different agency if you felt the realtor is not helping you. Remember it's your money and peace of mind. Do a little homework yourself. Check out the realtor licenses and with the BBB talk to the people you know (your neighbor and co-work) that owns an home see which realtor they've used. Most importantly, get yourself a real estate attorney to check the contract before you the dotted line.
Hello, The most important advice I can give is to remember, no one is looking out for you except you. Not that anyone is doing anything wrong, but the other parties will be looking to make the most money and get the deal done as fast as possible. Unless you hire a buyers agent, the realtors (even the one showing you properties) work for the seller (check your local laws and disclosures)

See my other post on looking for a property.

Regarding various costs, you have to shop around for closing costs and other mortgage fees. You do not have to use the suggested title agency. Ask for a break out of closing costs. Your realtor will look at you like you are crazy. I shopped the title closing and saved $900 as the original company took out lots of fluff and I took out extras that were not needed. Call your insurance agent or find one and have your own insurance lined up, again shop around every detail. Good luck
Get a Realtor to represent you as a buyer! When properties are listed for sale by Realtors their listing agreements include a clause about sharing their commission with Realtors who represent buyers, thus having someone solely representing your interests, and not the sellers, won't cost you anymore than you would have to pay without one.

A good buyer representative would not only help you through the buying process of finding the right house for you, but aid you in proper negotiations, inspections, requests for repairs, etc. A really good one will likely have a list of reliable inspectors and lenders they have known to be honest and competitive. It is fine to be wary of the ';cruked sellers'; but also be wary of the potential predatory lenders. When you find the right house, your head may be in the clouds or stressed out completely and it is good to have someone who has been through the process many times to hold your hand ... especially when it won't cost you any more than without one.
The only people that are there to scam you are the Realtor both your and the sellers , the loan officer and the market in general. Can you really trust any body that has to tell you that there the honest one and it is the other guy that make a bad names for every one else.

Right now the whole housing market is one big scam do you really think prices have jumped like they have as a result of fare business practice and honest and fully disclosed market conditions?

Any time there are big jumps in profit or sales you better know why or this could be a red flag or a warning that some one is not being total honest, thus a scam. Check out this web site and see how they have scammed the market and made this housing bubble and decide for your self if there is a honest and true housing market.

    Best of Luck
    Need a good Realtor?

I can recommend an experienced Realtor from your area that will give you OUTSTANDING service! I work with a network of Realtors across North America.

    http://www.pauld-kw.com

    http://www.bhammls.com/dziedzic

I will personally guarantee the service my friend will give you.
We are in our first home and we felt we paid a fair price for it. We were looking at houses for about a week and our realtor told us there was a home in our price range and our area of interest. We asked to be allowed to see it on the first day and we put an offer in right away.

Our priorities were in this order:

    size of yard

    neighborhood

nice house (well-kept and large enough)

Upon getting this house, we noticed a few mistakes on our part because my husband did not get a full visit of the house prior to putting the offer down. We found several do-it-yourself mistakes that former owners had made like adding on a room and not making the ceiling level!! The tile in the bathroom is buckled a bit. No big deal. There is a hallway floor that did not meet the wooden floor in the office room squarely: it had been cut very jaggedly. Most of the windows are older and quite drafty, as are the doorways. The toilet worked fine for about a month and then it ';ran'; continuously for a few weeks until we fixed it (our water bill was very large that month).

To make my long story short: be happy with the broken or imperfect things and fix what you can or pay someone to redo the little mistakes.
Ask the company that preapproved your loan to suggest a real estate agent. As a buyer, you don't pay them - the seller does. When you find a house you like have every possible inspection done. Electrical, plumbing, roof, general inspection, etc. You'll pay apx $100 per inspection but it is money well spent. Make appointments to look at the house several times, not just once or twice. Takes friends and family with you to look at the house, to see if they notice something you don't. Remember that you can put anything in the contract that you want. The last house I bought, the yard looked like a salvage yard. I included in the contract that the seller would remove all ';garbage, trash, rubbish, discarded items';. The yard was very clean when I moved in!

A good real estate agent will look out for you with your best interest in mind, because they want to keep a good reputation and want repeat business.

If Michael Jackson could give any advice to the new ';pop'; artists of today, what do you think it would be?

I know that most of them like Miley, Demi, Selena, Jonas brothers and that Justin guy are young and started out pretty young.I also know that Michael was 5 when he started out, and he missed out on pretty much all of his childhood because of it. So, what kind of advice do you think he would give them. If he was alive of course.

R.I.P Micheal! If Michael Jackson could give any advice to the new ';pop'; artists of today, what do you think it would be?
    wow. hmmm.

I don't think he'd like most of what's going on... most of today's pop youth have their songs written for them and express little of their own individuality. it's all of their company's work. well, most is. michael made SURE that his say went into everything, and he knew what he was doing. while miley, demi, selena and all of them seem like cool people.. you can never tell from their music. that's what the music is supposed to be for.. expressing yourself. now it's just a way to get money. at least in most of the pop industry.

at least, this is what I think michael would think. If Michael Jackson could give any advice to the new ';pop'; artists of today, what do you think it would be?
In terms of music I think he would tell them to innovate, to try and set new standards rather than stick to what's already been done, and to feel the music rather than just perform it.

Ovulation predictor kits. They take all the guess work out of when you should be baby dancing. I have used them on 2 months and both times got pregnant! You can buy them really cheap on ebay.

Lots of baby dust to you.

i`m leaving tomorrow to start a brand new chapter of my life after what could be called the worst year ever of my life...[2007-2008.]...in this situation,or having been to a really dark place in your life, what piece of advice would you or did you cling onto that brought you out of that darkness?Whats the best piece of advice you have ever recieved%26gt;?
This is an indication of how dark that period of my life was. The advice was you live therefore there is hope. I clung to that like a favored lover on a desert isle. It's so simple yet so right. I had hit bottom and crashed through. It was literally like starting a new life where nothing , including me, was the same. I clawed and sometimes crawled out of that pit I had flung myself into with those words. I live, there is hope. Good luck with your new chapter. I hope it is at least as successful as mine! May things be as they should.

    edit

That train mis quote is mine and should be; Always make sure the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train! lol Good advice!Whats the best piece of advice you have ever recieved%26gt;?
When I get into a funk, I recall my favorite quote:

';What is Reality? An icicle forming in fire.'; - Dogen

At first I didn't understand, then it was explained to me and I have tried to live this way ever since. Luckily I found this quote shortly after my last girlfriend broke up with me and I went into a slighy depression.

Ok, the quote is saying that Reality (with a capital R) is an icicle forming in fire. At first this seems impossible, but this is what we do with our thoughts and actions everyday.

We want things to stay the same (icicle) yet things are ALWAYS changing (fire). That is what reality is.

Once we realize this is what we are doing with our thoughts and actions, we must understand that in order to not be in pain we too must move one with what is happening and not cling to the past. That is why we suffer. Keep moving and don't stay in one place with your thoughts or else the constantly changing world will pass you by.
It's going to be weird hearing this but I'll explain.

    ';Don't mind ****, just spit it out.';

By mind ****, he means don't think everything over and take 5 minutes trying to think of what would be the best answer- just say what you feel- the first thing that comes to mind, you know? Hope that helps!
    You control your own actions.

If you ';hate'; someone it only affects you...the person you hate doesnt care that you hate them...they will go on with their life....the only person it affects is you.

Live life like you could be in a car accident and die today, no regrets.

    My father once told me son ';life is choice and consequence, be mindful of the choices you make and the consequences that follow. Know in your heart that you are strong enough not only to make the choice but to live with what it brings you.';
The best advice I ever received was when I got married. One of my supervisors in the Air Force told us to live off of one paycheck as much as possible. It turned out to be very good advice because my world has fallen out from under me many times since then.
My mother always said Do Unto Others As You Would Have Others Do Unto You and my grandmother always said Be Kind In Every Situation and you will never be sorry. Also, when one door closes another door opens so try not to worry.
    ';Where there's smoke, there's fire.';

    It's always true, dear. Always.
I was dating this woman that told me that I should kill myself. Looking back, it was some damned good advice.
The second time a mule kicks you, you don't learn a thing.
To do it no more,is the truest repentance.

    Good luck.

Can you give me some advice on fitness...?

I have just joined my local gym, but didn't get any advice from any of the staff when I asked them. I am 5ft and weigh 64kg, I am planning on going to the gym 3 times a week and am following a healthy calorie controled diet.

At the gym I do the rowing machine for ten minutes, treadmill for 30 minutes, 100 sit-ups, exercise bike for 15-20 minutes and weights. How long will it take me to get down to a healthy weight of 47-50kg?

ThanksCan you give me some advice on fitness...?
It depends on a number of things:

The number of calories you are consuming

The make up of those calories

The intensity of your exercise programme

    Your metabolic rate

Calories are essential because if you eat too few, this is worse than eating too many. So you need to eat around 1250 calories a day on sedentary days (i.e. days where you don't go to the gym) and 1500 calories on the days you do go to the gym. Otherwise you risk too big a calorie deficit and when this happens, your body will go into starvation mode.

The make up of your calories are important because if you eat too much fat or junk food, not only will you not learn healthy eating habits that you can take with you through life, you risk laying down more fat and not burning your glycogen stores when you work out. For this reason, focus on getting your calories from fibre rich, low fat foods (non-processed is best) so that you can re-educate your stomach and eyes for the long term.

Exercise intensity is critical if you want to shed weight. Each time you go to the gym, you should try to push yourself a bit harder. I am not talking about working out for longer, I am talking about doing more in the available time. So, if you walk at 5.5 kph, try to walk at 5.7 kph, then 6 kph. Or add an incline to the treadmill, which will force you to work harder. In order to burn fat, I strongly recommend that you acquaint yourself with a machine called an elliptical trainer or cross trainer. Some people refer to it as a skiing machine. This gives a great all over workout (make sure you use the machine with the push-pull bars to work the arms) and is low impact, so it is kind to your knees. Try to do 20 minutes on this during your workouts - build up to it.

Finally, your basal metabolic rate is important because it dictates the speed at which you burn calories. This is the reason why your trainers couldn't really answer your question - we all have different basal metabolic rates. Weight training will increase your metabolic rate but there are also eating tips that can help, such as eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 and doing aerobic training on an empty stomach. Do not, whatever you do, take supplements that promise to speed weight loss. Chances are you will be left with metabolic problems for a while after discontinuing them - the last thing you need.

Asking how long it will take you to lose weight is like asking how long a piece of string is. Based on what you have said, you are about 14 - 17 kg overweight (around 30 - 37lbs). Being modest, you can expect to be at goal in about 9 months. However, I would expect you to get there in (at the most) half that time. This is based on you losing, on average, 2 lbs a week. Everyone is different which is possibly why your gym instructors do not want to give you any numbers. They just don't know, is the problem!

Good luck with this! Can you give me some advice on fitness...?
hey dude controlling oer ur diet wont help as per my advice exercise wil help u nd in cas u want 2 increase ur height try 2 hav a gud posture avoid fast food
A lot depends on what you eat in your controlled diet. You want to cut back on sugar, saturated fat, alcohol and starches. Smaller portions. The brief description you gave sounds like a healthy plan that controls calorie intake while exercising regularly but not excessively. Slowly increase your time on the bike to 30-40 minutes. This can produce an average weight loss of .4 kg each week. So plan on staying with your regimen for 30-40 weeks. Good luck!
I can't tell you how long it will take, that depends on too many things that I don't know. With all of the different variables, it could be any length of time.

The important thing is that you enjoy it! Don't look at it like this: I have a goal, so as soon as I reach it, I'll stop going to the gym. You'll gain the weight back, and keep in the cycle until you get frustrated and angry and stay fat.

Learn to change your lifestyle totally. Not to reach a goal, but to make a new you. The weight will follow. I hope you are following your new diet (by new diet I mean a new way to eat for the rest of your life, not a fad diet). Good luck with these new changes, you will start to feel a lot better, and in time look a lot better too!
Change your gym, you should have had an induction, by law !!!!
Best not to go too mad on the diet and start exercise at the same time. Just eat sensibly and cut down portions and snacks when you start exercise. I am a great believer in doing more and eating less instead of paying through the nose to slimming groups! Try and vary what you do each time you go to the gym or you'll soon get bored. So maybe cardiovascular one visit and weights and toning the nextn and a mix on the next. Try and mix it up. It's taken me six weeks to lose a stone and a bit so don't expect instant miracles it could take a while. You'll lose loads at first then it drops off a little slower, you need to chose a diet that is enjoyable and you can use for the long term or any good practise you get into could be undone very quickly. Hope this is helpful

Looks good, just download an outline for a resume on microsoft word and fill it in, the only drawback would be being overqualified for the job you are going for, if thats the case trim some of the extras like your awards and international accomplishments and things like that. Please help with my resume. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
You need to re-organize your content according to your strengths and education. You have a better educational and development section then you do work experience, so place greater emphasis on your education.

So, going from top to bottom:

    1. Personal and contact info

    2. Education and Development

    3. Work Experience

    4. Everything else.

Another thing, remember to use present tense for current job(s) and past for anything that is over with (Lots of people mess up on that).

Finally, tailor EVERY cover letter to whatever position your applying for.

    Good luck.
you need a spellchecker, 2 typos I noticed off the bat

    liaision

    and

    organzing
Wow! U are really really telented if u have dine all taht i really wish i could when i grow up. Now u are like my idol
When a CV is written, it should be with one objective. The objective of a cv is to get you an interview and not a job. Getting the job part is yours (dont put too much pressure on the CV, poor paper eh!) . Hence the content should be in that way. I notice that in the current matter above -you have mentioned explicitly what you are doing and what you do daily. This is not good in a way when every one says the same thing - what I do. the ideal way is to have a mix of what you did and what you have accomplished or capable of. now for ex:

Events management; organising all aspects of internal and external functions

You could have made this to '; Managed x number of events in past year with several cross departments for external and internal functions.

The point here is when you put facts and figures like a number or a % of sales volume achieved or a number of increase in turn over - this gives people an easy way to remember your accomplishment and measure your capability. Also it will prompt them to call you for a face to face interview and ask you - from what % you have increased the volume of sales or you have mentioned x nnumber of events - where and how (probing questions on interviews).

so always keep in mind to twist the words, i am not asking you to twist the facts / truth - but to twist the words such a way that the prince charming should kiss the frog thinking that the frog is julia roberts. and as always this is the hard part - writing up the frog to look like julia roberts.

I could give more pointers but it might take time since i dont do this often any more.
I think the only thing that really needs to be done is removing these things:

-the guest speaker was the First Secretary of the Consulate General of Japan in New York, Fall 2005.

-a benefit for the post-tsunami support of schools and living facilities for the orphans in Thailand, Summer 2005.

-organized an educational trip to Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Spring 2004.

They provide TOO MUCH detailed information. Your resume is already long enough. Some employers will look right over your resume because of the simple fact that it is too long. When chosing your words use strong ones. If you feel that the things I mentioned are important then fill them in if they ask at a interview when looking over your resume. I'm sure they will bring up the fact that you have had international accomplishments. That would be the time to expend on those points. Try to keep your resume short and sweet.

Do you ever leave a question hoping for the child's sake that the asker will take the right advice?

because some of these questions are wayyyyyy too serious for casual conversation.Do you ever leave a question hoping for the child's sake that the asker will take the right advice?
i dont believe half the crap on here. i take it all with a grain of salt. thats what everyone should do. except the pervs - they should be taken seriously and reported! really i mean i give the masses credit. i seriously doubt the world is made up of majority fools. its the silly ones that get the attention and make you smack your forehead.

Yes, but unfortunately, the ';best answer'; usually goes to the one that is supporting the bad decision the asker has already made. People don't always want advice, they want validation. Too bad for the kids involved.
All the time, some times, I am confused...I tell my husband some times, you can see what the world is coming to.

  • What are the damages of marijuana for users ? do you advice it ?

are there differences between male users and female users ?What are the damages of marijuana for users ? do you advice it ?
There is an increased risk of depression, suicidal thoughts and schizophrenia as a result of marijuana use, even among people with no prior history of a disorder. However, those with a predisposition for mental illness are particularly vulnerable. In the case of psychotic disorders, this is estimated to be about one in four people.

Dont use itWhat are the damages of marijuana for users ? do you advice it ?
marijuana is a drug as all drugs it has side effects alot of my freinds smoke some claim it helps them concentrate more and makes them relax well the others say they feel they can do anything when they are high but some people who use marijuana have severe side effects like feeling they are about to die lack of concentration and cant sit still well as for me i am good just as i am dont need anything to get high
marijuana is an illegal drug in some places and legal in others, but it is a dangerous and potentially lethal drug.

when marijuana is used, the chemicals in it are rapidly passed through the blood stream to vital organs, including the brain.

the short term effects include memory and coordination problems, increased heart rate, and other problems with the brain. Long term problems can be major depression and other extremely serious problems with the brain.

Im not sure whether there are any differences between the genders, but Im guessing that girls would have the same problems.

as with any other drug, the use of this is not advised.
damages 12 Nazi looking cops kicking your door in for simple possession...happened to me ...Nazi cops also love to confiscate property ... if your car paid for %26amp; get caught with weed they would love to keep it also houses. i personally probably should be on some sort of meds for anger probs %26amp; depression i wont however be taking pills as im not comfortable with pills i prefer pot instead ..however its illegal %26amp; therefore not reccomended
i dont suggest it. but u should check out this....

Highlights from Marijuana Myths, Marijuana Facts*.

MYTH: MARIJUANA'S HARMS HAVE BEEN PROVED SCIENTIFICALLY. In the 1960s and 1970s, many people believed that marijuana was harmless. Today we know that marijuana is much more dangerous than previously believed.

    FACT: In 1972, after reviewing the scientific evidence, the National Commission on Marihuana and Drug Abuse concluded that while marijuana was not entirely safe, its dangers had been grossly overstated. Since then, researchers have conducted thousands of studies of humans, animals, and cell cultures. None reveal any findings dramatically different from those described by the National Commission in 1972. In 1995, based on thirty years of scientific research editors of the British medical journal Lancet concluded that ';the smoking of cannabis, even long term, is not harmful to health.';

MYTH: MARIJUANA HAS NO MEDICINAL VALUE. Safer, more effective drugs are available. They include a synthetic version of THC, marijuana's primary active ingredient, which is marketed in the United States under the name Marinol.

FACT: Marijuana has been shown to be effective in reducing the nausea induced by cancer chemotherapy, stimulating appetite in AIDS patients, and reducing intraocular pressure in people with glaucoma. There is also appreciable evidence that marijuana reduces muscle spasticity in patients with neurological disorders. A synthetic capsule is available by prescription, but it is not as effective as smoked marijuana for many patients. Pure THC may also produce more unpleasant psychoactive side effects than smoked marijuana. Many people use marijuana as a medicine today, despite its illegality. In doing so, they risk arrest and imprisonment.

MYTH: MARIJUANA IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. Long term marijuana users experience physical dependence and withdrawal, and often need professional drug treatment to break their marijuana habits.

FACT: Most people who smoke marijuana smoke it only occasionally. A small minority of Americans - less than 1 percent - smoke marijuana on a daily basis. An even smaller minority develop a dependence on marijuana. Some people who smoke marijuana heavily and frequently stop without difficulty. Others seek help from drug treatment professionals. Marijuana does not cause physical dependence. If people experience withdrawal symptoms at all, they are remarkably mild.

MYTH: MARIJUANA IS A GATEWAY DRUG. Even if marijuana itself causes minimal harm, it is a dangerous substance because it leads to the use of ';harder drugs'; like heroin, LSD, and cocaine.

FACT: Marijuana does not cause people to use hard drugs. What the gateway theory presents as a causal explanation is a statistic association between common and uncommon drugs, an association that changes over time as different drugs increase and decrease in prevalence. Marijuana is the most popular illegal drug in the United States today. Therefore, people who have used less popular drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and LSD, are likely to have also used marijuana. Most marijuana users never use any other illegal drug. Indeed, for the large majority of people, marijuana is a terminus rather than a gateway drug.

MYTH: MARIJUANA OFFENSES ARE NOT SEVERELY PUNISHED. Few marijuana law violators are arrested and hardly anyone goes to prison. This lenient treatment is responsible for marijuana continued availability and use.

FACT: Marijuana arrests in the United States doubled between 1991 and 1995. In 1995, more than one-half-million people were arrested for marijuana offenses. Eighty-six percent of them were arrested for marijuana possession. Tens of thousands of people are now in prison or marijuana offenses. An even greater number are punished with probation, fines, and civil sanctions, including having their property seized, their driver's license revoked, and their employment terminated. Despite these civil and criminal sanctions, marijuana continues to be readily available and widely used.

MYTH: MARIJUANA POLICY IN THE NETHERLANDS IS A FAILURE. Dutch law, which allows marijuana to be bought, sold, and used openly, has resulted in increasing rates of marijuana use, particularly in youth.

FACT: The Netherlands' drug policy is the most nonpunitive in Europe. For more than twenty years, Dutch citizens over age eighteen have been permitted to buy and use cannabis (marijuana and hashish) in government-regulated coffee shops. This policy has not resulted in dramatically escalating cannabis use. For most age groups, rates of marijuana use in the Netherlands are similar to those in the United States. However, for young adolescents, rates of marijuana use are lower in the Netherlands than in the United States. The Dutch people overwhelmingly approve of current cannabis policy which seeks to normalize rather than dramatize cannabis use. The Dutch government occasionally revises existing policy, but it remains committed to decriminalization.

MYTH: MARIJUANA KILLS BRAIN CELLS. Used over time, marijuana permanently alters brain structure and function, causing memory loss, cognitive impairment, personality deterioration, and reduced productivity.

FACT: None of the medical tests currently used to detect brain damage in humans have found harm from marijuana, even from long term high-dose use. An early study reported brain damage in rhesus monkeys after six months exposure to high concentrations of marijuana smoke. In a recent, more carefully conducted study, researchers found no evidence of brain abnormality in monkeys that were forced to inhale the equivalent of four to five marijuana cigarettes every day for a year. The claim that marijuana kills brain cells is based on a speculative report dating back a quarter of a century that has never been supported by any scientific study.

MYTH: MARIJUANA CAUSES AN AMOTIVATIONAL SYNDROME. Marijuana makes users passive, apathetic, and uninterested in the future. Students who use marijuana become underachievers and workers who use marijuana become unproductive.

FACT: For twenty-five years, researchers have searched for a marijuana-induced amotivational syndrome and have failed to find it. People who are intoxicated constantly, regardless of the drug, are unlikely to be productive members of society. There is nothing about marijuana specifically that causes people to lose their drive and ambition. In laboratory studies, subjects given high doses of marijuana for several days or even several weeks exhibit no decrease in work motivation or productivity. Among working adults, marijuana users tend to earn higher wages than non-users. College students who use marijuana have the same grades as nonusers. Among high school students, heavy use is associated with school failure, but school failure usually comes first.

MYTH: MARIJUANA IMPAIRS MEMORY AND COGNITION. Under the influence of marijuana, people are unable to think rationally and intelligently. Chronic marijuana use causes permanent mental impairment.

FACT: Marijuana produces immediate, temporary changes in thoughts, perceptions, and information processing. The cognitive process most clearly affected by marijuana is short-term memory. In laboratory studies, subjects under the influence of marijuana have no trouble remembering things they learned previously. However, they display diminished capacity to learn and recall new information. This diminishment only lasts for the duration of the intoxication. There is no convincing evidence that heavy long-term marijuana use permanently impairs memory or other cognitive functions.

MYTH: MARIJUANA CAN CAUSE PERMANENT MENTAL ILLNESS. Among adolescents, even occasional marijuana use may cause psychological damage. During intoxication, marijuana users become irrational and often behave erratically.

FACT: There is no convincing scientific evidence that marijuana causes psychological damage or mental illness in either teenagers or adults. Some marijuana users experience psychological distress following marijuana ingestion, which may include feelings of panic, anxiety, and paranoia. Such experiences can be frightening, but the effects are temporary. With very large doses, marijuana can cause temporary toxic psychosis. This occurs rarely, and almost always when marijuana is eaten rather than smoked. Marijuana does not cause profound changes in people's behavior.

MYTH: MARIJUANA CAUSES CRIME. Marijuana users commit more property offenses than nonusers. Under the influence of marijuana, people become irrational, aggressive, and violent.

FACT: Every serious scholar and government commission examining the relationship between marijuana use and crime has reached the same conclusion: marijuana does not cause crime. The vast majority of marijuana users do not commit crimes other than the crime of possessing marijuana. Among marijuana users who do commit crimes, marijuana plays no causal role. Almost all human and animal studies show that marijuana decreases rather than increases aggression.

MYTH: MARIJUANA INTERFERES WITH MALE AND FEMALE SEX HORMONES. In both men and women, marijuana can cause infertility. Marijuana retards sexual development in adolescents. It produces feminine characteristics in males and masculine characteristics in females.

FACT: There is no evidence that marijuana causes infertility in men or women. In animal studies, high doses of THC diminish the production of some sex hormones and can impair reproduction. However, most studies of humans have found that marijuana has no impact of sex hormones. In those studies showing an impact, it is modest, temporary, and of no apparent consequence for reproduction. There is no scientific evidence that marijuana delays adolescent sexual development, has feminizing effect on males, or a masculinizing effect on females.

MYTH: MARIJUANA USE DURING PREGNANCY DAMAGES THE FETUS. Prenatal marijuana exposure causes birth defects in babies, and, as they grow older, developmental problems. The health and well being of the next generation is threatened by marijuana use by pregnant women.

FACT: Studies of newborns, infants, and children show no consistent physical, developmental, or cognitive deficits related to prenatal marijuana exposure. Marijuana had no reliable impact on birth size, length of gestation, neurological development, or the occurrence of physical abnormalities. The administration of hundreds of tests to older children has revealed only minor differences between offspring of marijuana users and nonusers, and some are positive rather than negative. Two unconfirmed case-control studies identified prenatal marijuana exposure as one of many factors statistically associated with childhood cancer. Given other available evidence, it is highly unlikely that marijuana causes cancer in children.

MYTH: MARIJUANA USE IMPAIRS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM. Marijuana users are at increased risk of infection, including HIV. AIDS patients are particularly vulnerable to marijuana's immunopathic effects because their immune systems are already suppressed.

FACT: There is no evidence that marijuana users are more susceptible to infections than nonusers. Nor is there evidence that marijuana lowers users' resistance to sexually transmitted diseases. Early studies which showed decreased immune function in cells taken from marijuana users have since been disproved. Animals given extremely large doses of THC and exposed to a virus have higher rates of infection. Such studies have little relevance to humans. Even among people with existing immune disorders, such as AIDS, marijuana use appears to be relatively safe. However, the recent finding of an association between tobacco smoking and lung infection in AIDS patients warrants further research into possible harm from marijuana smoking in immune suppressed persons.

MYTH: MARIJUANA IS MORE DAMAGING TO THE LUNGS THAN TOBACCO. Marijuana smokers are at a high risk of developing lung cancer, bronchitis, and emphysema.

FACT: Moderate smoking of marijuana appears to pose minimal danger to the lungs. Like tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke contains a number of irritants and carcinogens. But marijuana users typically smoke much less often than tobacco smokers, and over time, inhale much less smoke. As a result, the risk of serious lung damage should be lower in marijuana smokers. There have been no reports of lung cancer related solely to marijuana, and in a large study presented to the American Thoracic Society in 2006, even heavy users of smoked marijuana were found not to have any increased risk of lung cancer. Unlike heavy tobacco smokers, heavy marijuana smokers exhibit no obstruction of the lung's small airway. That indicates that people will not develop emphysema from smoking marijuana.

MYTH: MARIJUANA'S ACTIVE INGREDIENT, THC, GETS TRAPPED IN BODY FAT. Because THC is released from fat cells slowly, psychoactive effects may last for days or weeks following use. THC's long persistence in the body damages organs that are high in fat content, the brain in particular.

FACT: Many active drugs enter the body's fat cells. What is different (but not unique) about THC is that it exits fat cells slowly. As a result, traces of marijuana can be found in the body for days or weeks following ingestion. However, within a few hours of smoking marijuana, the amount of THC in the brain falls below the concentration required for detectable psychoactivity. The fat cells in which THC lingers are not harmed by the drug's presence, nor is the brain or other organs. The most important consequence of marijuana's slow excretion is that it can be detected in blood, urine, and tissue long after it is used, and long after its psychoactivity has ended.

MYTH: MARIJUANA USE IS A MAJOR CAUSE OF HIGHWAY ACCIDENTS. Like alcohol, marijuana impairs psychomotor function and decreases driving ability. If marijuana use increases, an increase in of traffic fatalities is inevitable.

FACT: There is no compelling evidence that marijuana contributes substantially to traffic accidents and fatalities. At some doses, marijuana affects perception and psychomotor performances- changes which could impair driving ability. However, in driving studies, marijuana produces little or no car-handling impairment- consistently less than produced by low moderate doses of alcohol and many legal medications. In contrast to alcohol, which tends to increase risky driving practices, marijuana tends to make subjects more cautious. Surveys of fatally injured drivers show that when THC is detected in the blood, alcohol is almost always detected as well. For some individuals, marijuana may play a role in bad driving. The overall rate of highway accidents appears not to be significantly affected by marijuana's widespread use in society.

MYTH: MARIJUANA RELATED HOSPITAL EMERGENCIES ARE INCREASING, PARTICULARLY AMONG YOUTH. This is evidence that marijuana is much more harmful than most people previously believed.

FACT: Marijuana does not cause overdose deaths. The number of people in hospital emergency rooms who say they have used marijuana has increased. On this basis, the visit may be recorded as marijuana-related even if marijuana had nothing to do with the medical condition preceding the hospital visit. Many more teenagers use marijuana than use drugs such as heroin and cocaine. As a result, when teenagers visit hospital emergency rooms, they report marijuana much more frequently than they report heroin and cocaine. In the large majority of cases when marijuana is mentioned, other drugs are mentioned as well. In 1994, fewer than 2% of drug related emergency room visits involved the use of marijuana.

MYTH: MARIJUANA IS MORE POTENT TODAY THAN IN THE PAST. Adults who used marijuana in the 1960s and 1970s fail to realize that when today's youth use marijuana they are using a much more dangerous drug.

FACT: When today's youth use marijuana, they are using the same drug used by youth in the 1960s and 1970s. A small number of low-THC sample sized by the Drug Enforcement Administration are used to calculate a dramatic increase in potency. However, these samples were not representative of the marijuana generally available to users during this era. Potency data from the early 1980s to the present are more reliable, and they show no increase in the average THC content of marijuana. Even if marijuana potency were to increase, it would not necessarily make the drug more dangerous. Marijuana that varies quite substantially in potency produces similar psychoactive effects.

MYTH: MARIJUANA USE CAN BE PREVENTED. Drug education and prevention programs reduced marijuana use during the 1980s. Since then, our commitment has slackened, and marijuana use has been rising. By expanding and intensifying current anti-marijuana messages, we can stop youthful experimentation.

FACT: There is no evidence that anti-drug messages diminish young people's interest in drugs. Anti-drug campaigns in the schools and the media may even make drugs more attractive. Marijuana use among youth declined throughout the 1980s, and began increasing in the 1990s. This increase occurred despite young people's exposure to the most massive anti-marijuana campaign in American history. In a number of other countries, drug education programs are based on a ';harm reduction'; model, which seeks to reduce the drug-related harm among those young people who do experiment with drugs.

Well, I smoked a lot till about 30 years ago. Friends that kept smoking are today in different conditions - some show signs of being weak (but who knows, what's the reason), others don't show any damages. It might depend of the personality, the personal surroundings and of the frequency, quality and quantity of smoking. I didn't see any difference between male and female. The only female long time smoker I know is very well.

Advice it ? Tricky question. I've made many good experiences, few not so enjoyable, but I'd never advice it to anyone.

On the other hand I know some people that use it as medicine - against epilepsy, against pain (didn't believe that first) to boost appetite or against side effects of medicaments.

Thanks for the offer, but this forum isn't set up for that. your suppose to ask a question or answer question.
The first person who answered is correct, though you did ask a question--it was not the type that is correct on this site.

Yahoo! Answers is set up in such a way that people do not get other people's email addresses - Yahoo makes the connection.

If you are knowledgable in social, religious, and other matters, why not answer questions in those categories?

Then you would be Yahoo's version of politically correct.

you are a little pitchy sometimes

i would decrease the reverb a little bit and try to work on creating a deeper resonance with your own voice

but beautiful voiceCould you listen to my singing and give me some advice for improvement?
Your low notes are very weak, you have little control over them and you seem to go a little flat. My suggestion is to give it more diaphragm support when you go down, give it more meat! You seem a little whisperish when you down to those low notes. Low notes are meant to be supported, not airy... so give it your all!

Also, you may want to enunciate ';red as a rose'; as you seem to rush through it rather fast and I had to listen to it twice to understand you.

Your high notes are supported and very well done!
you've almost kinda gotta Celtic thing going on by the sound of that song...

You could probably use a voice coach, just to perfect your voice.

You've got a nice warm base, you just need to sound a little more professional, and maybe use some vibrato in your singing.

    Hold notes a little longer.

They're quite abrupt and staccato (i think that's the word).

It can give your voice an all over ';finished'; or ';polished'; sound and quality.
DUDE THAT WAS NOT U THAT WAS WAY GOOD!!!!!

What does this quote mean? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

';We flood our minds with words! They mesmerize and manipulate us, masking the truth even when it's set down squarely in front of us. To discover the reality, I've learn to listen only to action. Judith Knowlton';What does this quote mean? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Don't over think a situation. Take action. What does this quote mean? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
people rarely tell the truth, we are surrounded by lies. we cannot believe what we are told. our language is such that we can confuse meaning without intending to do so. it makes me think of the book 1984 by george orwell because in one part the main character is being told that two plus two is five even though he is well aware and can see that it makes four.
we fill ourselves with words that either dont mean anything or they dont come out as truthfully as we want them to..
    Look before you leap
You've got to ';walk the walk'; rather than merely ';talk the talk';.

Words are not necessarily sincere; actions are.
We pay way too much attention to WHAT is being said .. the words .. The VERBAL communication.

But people hardly ever tell the truth.. it will be hidden behind the words they actually say..

if you try on a new dress and ask someone how you look? People will reply in words what you would like to hear :) well most of the times! unless its ur Mom :D :D

You and your best friend entered a competition and you won! Will she be really happy for you or jealous? Her words will obviously say she's happy you won but the expressions will tell you the truth.

The words are controlled by the person but most of the times physical actions that go along with it are involuntary.

So reality is not in the words its in the expressions, actions that go with it.

    To understand a person or situation don't just listen to the words... observe the actions.. which is call as the ';body language';, and body language tells you a lot more than the ';verbal communication';

If you search the internet for ';Body language'; you'll find a lot of resources explaining the term, how to understand it.. how to control ur own ! :)
It almost seems like she's saying act first and don't be conned by a lot of fancy words. There is always people that can rationalize a situation and make it look not at all what it is. Con men use this talent every day.
    Actions speak louder than words.
You can be brainwashed into believing something is true even when it isn't. Further, the words can be used in such a way that disguises their meaning or evolve into meaning something else. If you see it in action, then it becomes more concrete as to what was intended and done.
our minds does not work well cuz of the things that we keep in

    ';things %26amp; stuff that we don't need';

and also we don't think good -_-

we do bad things , we hurt other .. etc
    Action is better than words.

    example

It is better you show me how to do it rather than give me the manual.

Best and worst advice someone gave you?

whats the best and worst advice any person gave you? also the funniest advice?Best and worst advice someone gave you?
Haha - great question, i cant wait to read other peoples answers!

    Hmm..the best advice..Would be to ';Always show of your positives, if you show a negative and he doesnt like it, either dump him on the spot or cover up that persionality zit with coverup! AKA, more poitives.';

    The worst...';Just throw a backtuck, its the only way to learn!';

And the funniest..';No, hunter likes nurses, so if you really want to turn him on dress up as a nurse. I knwo why he likes it too, he used to have a babysiter who was a nurse, and whenever she bent over you could see her red thong. you should totaly wear a red thong underneath the costume.'; - turns out, my boyfriend hunter? he had a nurse for a babysitter- HIS MOTHER. and he was permanently scared when she (280 pounds) always would bend over and he could see her red thong. He cried.Best and worst advice someone gave you?
The best advice was that I will get over the person it just takes time...and that is so true. The worst is when your friends try to help and put more thoughts in your head about your ex. Like he was probally cheating or it was someone else... but in reality it probally wasnt working...
    Best advice someone gave me was ';Good things come to those who wait...for the right time';

Worst advice was when someone told me to try and break up a girl (who I liked) and her boyfriend (who I was friends with). I didn't do it obviously.
    Best advice:';Do whatever the hell you want';

    Worst Advice: ';Just ask him if he likes you back!';

    Funny Advice: ';Be the crazy kid you are, Just don't color on my papers';
Best: Listen to your heart, and not your mind.

Worst: Don't do that, what would people say? (Regarding... Well, it can be used in almost every situation.)
';Just ask her out'; -Worst advice I ever got. I asked out this pretty popular girl back in highschool in front of everyone after class. She shot me down hard.
';Never lend your undies and bra to anybody.'; Yea, I know that, thanks mom. I'm 15 and my mom told me that a week ago.
To tell the person that broke up with me that I was pregnant with his best friends kid.(WORST)

  • Any good advice you could give me?

This guy told me he liked me, and I told him I liked him back. So, then we started talking more and he told me that he liked this other girl, and she liked him. But he wasn't sure if it was going to work out with her. So he was going to give her a chance because he felt like he was being unfair to her. Then he told me that he really likes me alot. Should I just wait until he tells me that they don't work out? Or just not even bother now?Any good advice you could give me?
He's being silly and playing games. He's obviously not very mature. And you don't wait around on a guy to determine if he wants you or not. Only stupid women do this. Move on!!!! you're single and there are plenty of fine guys out there! Do you honey. You don't wait and you don't chase. Women should learn to let the man be the man!!! If you meant something to him he'd have swooped you up and went on with you. Sounds like he's more interested in the other girl. You're just a back up. He was straight forward with that. Cant you see that? you're worth better than that. Believe that and men will treat you that way.Any good advice you could give me?
Why waste your time if he wants the other girl than you just a back up girl if the relationship with him and that other girl doesn't work.

Don't play second best for no one if he wants you than he wouldn't be playing these games with you.
tell him you like other girl more than you like him.
Liking each other is good...why wait and be unfair to yourself? I feel that you deserve better.Good luck. :)

to have sex with me in their tour bus, cause those jeans kindaa turn me onnnn. mmm theirs asses are so sexy.

I have to get up really early can you give me advice ?

Its 11:32pm and I allways go to my bed late around 2am, So I am worried I will only get 3 hours sleep because I cant sleep early. ahhhhh It worries me sick...I have to get up really early can you give me advice ?
    Go to bed really early.

Bit bleedin late to be asking that question, isnt it?I have to get up really early can you give me advice ?
they say its good to have a nice hot soak in the bath an hour BEFORE you go to bed. its suppost to help you relax and the change in body Temperature when you get out is what makes you feel sleepy

i don't know weather you believee in aromatherapy but getting yourself a burner and essential oils burning could really help you relax unwind and feel sleepy
Doing exercise actually gets adrenaline pumping so if you run or exercise it won't help much...try so herbal teas or if you really don't think tea will help try laying down in our bed for 30mins eyes shut and mind clear. All lights off too. Late at night if I can't sleep I read, play my DS or text until I feel tired.
just drink some hot milk read a book and get nice and warm then you should just drift off if you keep thinking of it you wont sleep at all so try not to think of falling asleep and you should be grand and if you do only get three hours drink some coffee

    hope i helped

    xx xx
Your response has logically to be going to bed early in the evening taking a tranquillizer.
Turn off the computer, lights, tv etc... close windows, listen to white noise, put Lavender oil on yr pillow...
you could always try to get to sleep?

or do some hardcore exercise to wear u out - that should make you sleep like a baby!

    x
Don't go to bed stay up on q+a.
    read shakespeare [:
    Set an Alarm Clock.
    Exercise in the day..

lay in the dark with your eyes closed. will soon nod off

What is the best advice you can give to a 13 year old?

About love, dangers, exercising, and life.

Any warnings i should worry about? Should I have a specific diet? Any love gone wrongs? Choosing friends? First date ideas? PLEASE tell me!!!!! How to know if my boyfriend is cheating on me (tips, tricks????) PLEASE are my friends talking bad things about me?What is the best advice you can give to a 13 year old?
Well, at 13 I would hope that you wouldn't HAVE to worry about all of those things, but here is some advice that I can give:

Love: It is VERY rare that someone finds their true love at 13. From personal experience I can tell you that I wasted a lot of my high school trying to find someone to date, and I missed out on a lot of fun with friends. Just try to enjoy your friends and not worry about dating. I know that's not easy when all of your friends are doing it, but you won't regret it!

Exercising: It is always good to have an active lifestyle. Try to find ways to add activity into your everyday routine, instead of thinking of it as ';exercise.'; Take the stairs instead of an escalator/elevator, garden, etc. If you find ways to incorporate activity in your life now at a young age it will make exercising easier and more enjoyable when you get older. But for now just focus on being active, not exercise.

Specific Diet: Have everything in moderation. It isn't always what you eat, but how much of it. Obviously, you should try to eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible and drink plenty of water. Also fiber is very good for you and there are great foods that are very high in fiber that taste GREAT (I LOVE FiberOne Cereals and Bars). If you want to have a bag of chips or a candy bar that is fine - everyone does! But try not to let it become a main part of your diet. Eat what you know is good for you, and let the other things be special treats - you'll enjoy them more!

Choosing friends/first date ideas/cheating boyfriends/talking friends: All of these are difficult subjects, and I don't think anyone can give specific answers for anything. Because you are so young, friends (and any boyfriends you may have) will be changing a lot in the next 5 years, and you will as well. Try not to take boyfriends very seriously, be the best friend you can be, and make sure you are doing what is best for you. Never let someone else make a decision for you, whether outright or by pressure. Focus on school and having fun. Be safe, be responsible, and believe it or not - your parents are almost always right (I'm not a parent, but I learned that the hard way when I was your age).

I hope this helps! : )What is the best advice you can give to a 13 year old?
i know *everyone* tells u this but just wait wen it comes to boys...theri ALL weird. i'm 14 almost 15. i know ur mind better than u do. i wouldnt date until ur like 16, 17, 18,or even till collage. dont have ';bestfriends'; just have a vireitey of friends, not close friends, ull get hurt. its not worth it. dont diet. and dont get caught up in drama. keep to your self and be your own person, the bible is your only guide now. listen to jesus and let him in ur heart, he is ur saviour. make your education your life now. remember god loves you just the way you are, dont look to the internet for advice, turn to god, and your parents!!!
Live you life according to yourself and let nobody else decide who you are or how you feel about yourself....- good luck sweetie
    ';Try to act as mature as possilbe';

Do you have any advice for an INTJ personality with Pallas in Capricorn?

From one INTJ to an other (you're the best :-)

Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel. While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations.

This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation (which most types consider half the fun of a relationship). To complicate matters, INTJs are usually extremely private people, and can often be naturally impassive as well, which makes them easy to misread and misunderstand. Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense. :-) This sometimes results in a peculiar naivete', paralleling that of many Fs -- only instead of expecting inexhaustible affection and empathy from a romantic relationship, the INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness.

Probably the strongest INTJ assets in the interpersonal area are their intuitive abilities and their willingness to ';work at'; a relationship. Although as Ts they do not always have the kind of natural empathy that many Fs do, the Intuitive function can often act as a good substitute by synthesizing the probable meanings behind such things as tone of voice, turn of phrase, and facial expression. This ability can then be honed and directed by consistent, repeated efforts to understand and support those they care about, and those relationships which ultimately do become established with an INTJ tend to be characterized by their robustness, stability, and good communications.Do you have any advice for an INTJ personality with Pallas in Capricorn?
I'm an INTJ person as well. Its the most obscure personality accounting for less than 1% of the population. If anything I find it hard to explain complex things to the simpletons out there who have problems picking up advanced topics

The other biggest challenge is the judgemental component. I've had to force myself to be more tolerant of others
